Pitching Camping Tents to Make it Feel Homey |

I had never been camping in the woods or anywhere outside for that matter until one of my son's became a Boy Scout. When he joined the Scouts, I quickly became an active parent participant and learned in very little time how to pitch a camping tent and what the difference was between a fixed blade knife and regular buck knives. It was quite an experience for me to be a part of an active group of outdoor lovers and enjoy open nature.

When we went on our first outdoor excursion to the woods, I took everything I thought I would need including my extra large Coleman tent and a couple of smaller camping tents that we could use for other Scout families who may not have had enough room. It turned out that we did use the extra camping tents though not for sleeping in, but for storing our gear and buck knives in to protect it all from the outside elements.
I look forward each time to going scouting with the group and having fun being in the wide open outdoors. The only thing that I always like to be sure of is having enough supplies so I can try to make it as comfortable and as close to home living as I can get. I figure just because we're outside doesn't mean we can't be comfortable right? Right!
